Sea of Galilee

On my way to the Sea of Galilee, or LakeKinneret as it is affectionately known, I call my Christian friend Sebastian, who volunteered to show me the holy sites around the lake from his point of view.  He meets me in the beautiful church on mountBeatitudes.

Seeing the crowds, he went up on the mountain, and when he sat down his disciples came to him.  And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying:  "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven…….”

He quoted from Mathew…

All through the historical times that people have searched for happiness, it has been easier to see joy in other people lives on this mountain.   Yeshua gives us the guidelines for tranquility and wholeness: “Down there “, he pointed out the churches of Kfar Nachom and Tabja reflecting on the clear water of the lake.  These places are recognized to be the location of one of the most amazing miracles done in history; only 5 bread loves and 2 jars of wine, were enough to feed 500 people…

This green valley is the place He taught us to the meaning of faith.  Believe in something and give it a place in your daily life.  Trust yourself and you will be much happier.

What a wonderful place to ponder such words of wisdom ……
