Close your eyes and imagine Roman ships packed full with gold and spices anchored at the docks.  Picture the merchants examining fabulous fabrics and negotiating for goods.  See the Roman Legion officers in their shiny uniforms surrounded by beautiful adoring women.  Imagine King Herod the visionary of the largest port in the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea, welcoming Emperor Augustus to cut the ribbon…..

Tourists enjoy lunch in restaurants that carry names such as “Crusaders” and “Herod “” while brides and grooms are seen taking their wedding photos on the green lush lawns.

It is sunset time and you are about to join others in a memorable music concert to be heard in the nearby 2000-year old Roman amphitheater.
